Art Appreciation (Open)

The Art Group meets on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 1pm at the Christchurch Art Gallery. In our first year, we have enjoyed viewing some excellent exhibitions. We usually have about 20 members attending and we are very fortunate to have such an informed guide whom the group has all warmed to. In addition to learning about artists and their exhibitions, we have also had a tour of the Gallery's library which is on the first floor and anyone interested can make an appointment to go there. Our final meeting for the year was hosted by convenor Yvonne Boulton. Our guest artist was fellow U3A member Jeff Gray with a suite of his aboriginal art works on display. One of his works is on the Art Appreciation's Home Page. Below are a number of the group's members enjoying the event. We will reconvene again in February 2026.
