Rob Murfitt
Rob Murfitt, retired court judge, was our guest speaker at our meeting on Tuesday 8 September at St Marks. Rob is a member of our U3A and he talked about his time as Family Court Judge. Rob studied law at Canterbury University and was admitted to the bar in 1972. He practiced law in partnership in Christchurch until being appointed as Family Court Judge in New Plymouth by Attorney General Margaret Wilson in 2004. Since retirement, Rob has been involved with several charities in the city.
