February Speaker - Caroline Harvie-Teare
Our speaker for our first meeting in 2026 will be Caroline Harvie-Teare, Chief Executive of Venues Otautahi. She will talk to us about the new stadium which is due to open in April and what events are planned for that venue during the year.
Membership: Important Notice
Our Opawaho U3A has now reached its maximum membership of 250. We are delighted because it demonstrates the level of interest in our district for events and activities especially for people over 55, and also because we have achieved this milestone within our first year. It also means that we will now open a waiting list. If anyone would like to join our U3A, please email us on u3aopawaho@gmail.com
Refresher Course for Older Drivers
This course will be held in May 2026 and is designed as a refresher course for older drivers. It is run by Aged Concern Canterbury and is free for our U3A members. The date is 19 May The venue is Heathcote Community Centre We can accept a maximum of 20 members. It is a daylong course. More details about start and finish times will be advised shortly.
